Getting started
- Install Kinboard on the Apple TV or iPad that will be the family screen, and on your iPhone.
- On the iPhone, add family members and pick the calendars to show. Changes appear on every screen through iCloud.
- To let others edit lists and calendars, open Family → Invite Family Members on your iPhone.
Common questions
Events don't appear on the screen. Make sure every device is signed in to the same iCloud account (or has joined your family through an invitation), and that iCloud Drive is turned on. Calendars from an iPhone update when Kinboard is opened there, and in the background from time to time.
How do I add a Google or Outlook calendar? Add the account in the iPhone's Settings → Calendar → Accounts, then pick its calendars in Kinboard. You can also paste a calendar's subscription link (ICS or webcal).
The weather isn't showing. Allow Kinboard to use your location in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
What's free and what's in Kinboard+? Everything is open for 14 days. After that the clock, weather, countdowns, night mode and one calendar stay free. Kinboard+ is a one-time purchase that unlocks every calendar, shared lists, chores and stars, the photo background, family invitations and the Apple TV Top Shelf. Nothing you added is deleted when the trial ends.
I bought Kinboard+ on another device. Open Kinboard+ at the top of Kinboard’s settings and tap Restore Purchases. With Family Sharing, the purchase appears for everyone in your Apple family group.
